Silver Spring Wings now open

After a two year break Silver feather wings has finally reopened in its new home.

That restaurant reopened yesterday at its new location at 11335 Elkin St. in the Borough of Wheaton.

Silver Spring Wings originally opened in May 2020 and closed in October of the same year, seemingly a victim of his own success. “Our landlord didn’t renew our lease and didn’t want us to offer takeout anymore.” Owner Evan Walton told the source that November.

The restaurant received critical acclaim during its original run. Sabrina Medora of the Washington City Paper praised the Wing Spot in the alt-weekly’s Article August 2020, These are the neighborhood bars and restaurants we’ve come to rely on during the pandemic: “The last time we got Silver Spring Wings, my husband and I spent two days feasting on leftovers with unwavering enthusiasm. We have since recommended these wings to everyone we know. Next time you’re wondering what to cook, pay Walton a visit at Silver Spring. He also makes limited deliveries in the area. Don’t skip the coleslaw.”

Silver Spring Wings operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:30am to 7:00pm and Friday and Saturday from 11:30am to 11:00pm.
