THE Royal Mint has released the next coin in its collector’s series, inspired by Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, featuring the lovable character Tigger on an official UK 50p.
The sixth coin in a nine coin collection, this 50p commemorative coin featuring Tigger follows the release of Owl or Winnie the Pooh and his friends on a 50p piece in 2021.
The collection started in 2020 with Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin and Piglet. The last three coins are due to be unveiled next year.

Royal Mint designer Daniel Thorne remastered Tigger based on EH Shepard’s original watercolor decorations, first published 95 years ago in AA Milne’s classic stories.
As with every coin in the collection, the design shows the iconic characters and the characteristic bee motif by Daniel Thorne and thus offers a special feature for collectors in the entire range.
Available in gold, silver, brilliant stamps and a special printing color edition, the range combines the 1,100-year-old minting tradition of The Royal Mint with innovative color printing technology.
