Get a first look at the 2023 Gators Gymnastics team in action at Hype Night Presented by American Campus Communities on December 5th.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Can’t wait for the 2023 Gators gymnastics season to begin?

Then Gators Gymnastics Hype Night Presented by American Campus Communities is your chance to meet the Florida team!

When: Monday 5 December at 6:45 p.m
Where: Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
Tickets: Free for all – standing room for all seats
Gator’s autographs: Stay afterwards to have your 2023 poster autographed by the Gators!

Plan to attend Gator Gymnastics Hype Night as the event will not be streamed or televised.

The Gators show full or partial routines on any device. Prominent judges evaluate the routines of the Orange & Blue dual-meet format.

Thirty (30) lucky Hype Night students will receive an exclusive invite to Gators Gymnastics practice for a look at the practice facility and Gators practice!

2023 Alligators:

  • The 17-man 2023 Gator team includes five All-Americans with 40 All-America honors.
  • UF is returning 16 of the 24 routines from its performance as the 2022 NCAA runner-up.
  • Four freshmen join the Gators – two freshmen and two transfers.
  • Headlining the returnees is the 2022 Honda Award winner and three-time NCAA champion (2022 all-around, uneven bars, floor exercise) Trinity Thomas. She’s joined by three others who are competing with the Gators in their fifth season – Halley Taylor and All-American Leah Klapper and Savannah Schoenherr. Payton Richards is the Gators only senior.
  • The junior class includes Chloi Clark, Alex Magee and all American Ellie Lazzari.
  • include second graders Sloane Blakeley, Bri Edwards, Riley McCusker and all American Leanne Wong. Morgan Hurd wants to make her competitive Gator debut as she missed 2022 through injury.
  • Freshmen Gators are Lori Brubach (Apopka, Florida) and Kayla Di Cello (Boyds, Md.).
  • Both transfers come to the Gators from Georgia – Super Senior Rachel Baumann (younger sister of Gator All-American and 2022 Super Senior Alyssa Baumann) and Junior Victoria Nguyen.
  • A national foursome among the 2023 Gators brought USA individual or team medals at the World Championships – DiCello (2021 World All-Around Bronze), Hurd (2017 World AA Champion, Beam Silver; 2018 Beam Silver, Floor Bronze, Team Gold), McCusker (Team Gold 2018) and Wong (AA Silver 2021; Team Gold 2022)
  • Seven Gators have been part of the US senior national teams – Blakely (2018-19), DiCello (2019-20, 2021, 2022), Hurd (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021) , McCusker (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021), Nguyen (2016-17), Thomas (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20), Wong ( 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021, 2022)
  • Five Alligators own collegiate bests of 10.0 – Baumann (floor), Blakely (floor), Clapper (beam), Thomas (vault, beam, bar, floor) and Wong (vault, beam)

Further ticket information:

  • Reserved seating options can still be purchased for $75 (lower tier) or $55 (middle tier). Child rates are $50 (lower level) and $40 (middle level).
  • General Admission is available for all regular season meetings. Youth under the age of 12 are admitted for five dollars.
  • Reserve parking in the O’Connell Center parking lot for all home gatherings for only $25. Reserved parking passes are available to all season ticket holders – reserved and general access.
  • Can’t do a home meetup? Season ticket holders can transfer their tickets to another person by registering with their Florida tickets account and click on “Manage my tickets”. Select the meeting you want the tickets to be transferred to, then enter the recipient’s information. This can be done up to three hours before the meeting.
